About the event
On Saturday, August 1, 2020, a group of community partners will host a free record-sealing clinic for residents of the Greater Dayton area. Volunteer attorneys will help assess people's eligibility for record sealing and, if guests are eligible, will help them with filling out the relevant forms. This assistance will primarily be provided over phone and email, but we are hoping to be able to make some in-person appointments available where necessary. Assistance, both remote and in-person, will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so filling out this form does not guarantee assistance. But we recommend filling out this form as soon as possible, and certainly by Friday, July 24, which is when pre-registration will close. If we believe that we will be able to serve you, we will send you an email with more information before Saturday, August 1, and ask you to fill out a formal application form. If we are not able to serve you, we will also send you a follow-up email to let you know. This clinic is a collaboration of Central State University Extension, Greater Dayton RTA, Miami Valley Community Action Partnership, the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender, the Montgomery County Office of Reentry, the Ohio Justice Bus, the Ohio Justice & Policy Center, and Omega Baptist Church.
